Creature Works, under choreographer Kelsie Steil, creates character-driven dance-theater that explores the full spectrum of human experience. The company investigates mental health, emotional complexity, and archetypal storytelling, translating lived and observed experiences into performance. Kelsie explores the intersection of Commedia dell'Arte and its highly codified physical vocabulary and psychological profiles, and contemporary dance’s possibilities for movement invention, emotional embodiment, and choreographic composition.  This distinct methodology runs through Creature Works' trainings, choreographies, and media.
