Craving the Mystic was originally created as a stage work in 2023 by Kelsie Steil. This character-driven piece explores the human hunger for meaningful connection in a technological, isolating world, with dancers embodying archetypes and profiles that reflect authentic exchanges. The piece was adapted into a film in collaboration with Jennifer Hoffer, capturing the work’s emotional intensity and visual depth. Craving the Mystic was awarded Best Dance Film at the Divine Feminine Film Festival and continues to examine how character, story, and embodiment intersect to reveal shared human experiences.
