The works presented here span stage and film, intimate duets and highly theatrical ensemble pieces. Each project emerges from a character-driven process, shaped by lived experience, domestic scenarios, a study of natural occurrences and human archetypes.  Not all works across Steil's career are represented here, though this choreography reel may give insight into her earlier works. 

 

Across forms and formats, the work explores mental health, emotional contradiction, and the tension between darkness and light. Movement, story, and theatricality intersect to create performances that are immersive, expressive, and deeply human. These pieces reflect an ongoing investigation into how bodies carry experience, how characters take shape, and how performance can hold complexity without simplification.
